The Curriculum
We’ve designed a schedule that combines academic coursework with professional skill-building. Scholars will explore the disciplines of finance, accounting, competitive strategy, and marketing. You'll also develop expertise in teamwork, professional networking, and career planning.
You'll work and play with people with varied interests, backgrounds, and ambitions – much like Chicago GSB’s MBA program. The Summer Business Scholars Program will open your eyes to new ideas and different points of view.
A Typical Day’s Schedule
The program is considered full-time. A typical day will consist of four-hours of academic coursework in the morning. Late afternoons and evenings are scheduled with distinguished lecture series, professional skill-building workshops, and citywide social events. Mid-day will generally be reserved for study of the day’s curriculum. You can work wirelessly in the Harper Center and Gleacher Center. Or, perhaps you’ll want to study at nearby beaches or cafes. Check out a sample schedule (.pdf) to get a feel for the program.
Faculty
Summer Business Scholars will interact and work with no fewer than eight Chicago GSB faculty who teach in our program. Stacey Kole, Clinical Professor of Economics and Deputy Dean for the Full-Time MBA Program, will serve as Senior Faculty Director of the Program.
