Curriculum Allows You to Explore Interests

When I started at the GSB, I did not have a specific concentration selected to pursue. What surprised me was the fact that, as the quarters passed, I found myself drawn to classes which I may not have previously explored. The curriculum is structured well in that the students have great flexibility in selecting electives while the core courses provide insight into which topics would best suit the student and his or her strengths and goals.

A Practical Education

The professors provide a wealth of knowledge that is unparalleled by any other institution. They take the time to get to know their students and teach their courses with the objective of enabling the students to learn as much relevant information as possible. As you participate in the courses, you can consciously recognize how valuable this education is and will be throughout the remainder of your career. I’ve already had opportunities to apply newly learned strategies to my job and my department. I’m certain this experience will continue to be a strong benefit.

Supportive Network

I’m most impressed by the group dynamics I have experienced here at the GSB. From the first day, new and returning students bond together with the common goal they’re all pursuing. We are all eager to help each other as well as offer support and guidance based on the diverse experiences we have. Also, the faculty and staff are actively helpful in learning about different industries or suggesting resources that will aid us in our future career pursuits.

Prepared for New Careers

Prior to starting my MBA, my career had been comprised solely of financial positions. Now that I have nearly completed my degree, I believe that I am now better prepared to pursue alternate professional industries if I so choose.

Peers Add Value

Prior to entering the GSB, I expected to gain most of my learning from the structured courses. Instead, the knowledge I’ve obtained from my peers is equally as valuable as the course lectures. Students at the GSB have such varied professional backgrounds. The insights provided by my classmates have enabled me to learn about different industries from a first hand perspective. I’ve built strong relationships with my fellow classmates and am sure that we will remain supportive of each other for years to come.
