Competitions

Forming a team to compete in GSB-sponsored or national contests designed to showcase your business knowledge and skills is great preparation for your future. As a team, you will learn how to motivate people, build relationships and lead. Here are some of the competitions where GSB students have participated:

• Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) - Sponsored by the Polsky Center, students get to play the role of venture capitalists, interact with real-life entrepreneurs to decide potential investment opportunities and are evaluated by actual investors. Read article >

• Fortune Small Business business plan contest  - The event is designed to uncover the nation's most promising entrepreneurs. Read article >
• Energy Finance Competition - This challenge tests MBA students from 16 of the nation's top business schools in a case based on the rapidly growing energy industry.
• The Edward L. Kaplan New Venture Challenge - Sponsored by the GSB's Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship, many successful businesses have been started as a result of the visibility winning this leading business plan competition creates. Read article >
