C. NELSON WETHERELL writes that he has two daughters who are alumni
of the University: Barbara W. Ogilvie, M.A. 67 (English) and
Margaret W. Perfetto, XP-65 ('96).

ALEX GLASSMAN reports that he is now living mostly at Hideaway
Beach, Marco Island, but he maintains a Canadian base. He is director
of Zeton Inc., a high tech company with headquarters near Toronto
and plants in Pittsburgh and Holland. Zeton designs and makes
plants for large chemical plants around the world including Exxon
and Dow.

JOSEPH V. SCWAN was promoted to executive vice president and chief
operating officer of Standard Register Co. Standard Register is
a business information management company that markets custom
business documents, electronic forms, document systems, and direct
mail printing. Schwan, who has been with the company since 1991,
most recently served as senior vice president and general manager
of the Document Management Division.

RICHARD HIRST was named academic vice president at Wheeling Jesuit
University in Wheeling, West Virginia. Hirst previously served
as dean of the College of Business of Lincoln University in Jefferson
City, Missouri.

MICHAEL HAVERTY chief executive of Kansas City Southern Railway,
was featured in the April 21 issue of Forbes. In December, the
company won a bid to buy from the Mexican government control of
Mexicos most lucrative rail line, and Haverty is quoted as saying
he hopes to create the Nafta railroad.

SALVATORE CAMPAGNA writes: I have just finished building a log
home along the Paw Paw River in Michigan. I am learning how to
fish and trying to figure out how to landscape an eleven-acre
front yard. I have become a dealer for wilderness log homes and
would love to help anyone thinking about building a log home realize
that dream.

NIEL RANSOM has joined Alcatel Network Systems in Raleigh, North
Carolina as vice president and general manager of Access and Network
Management Business Lines for Canada and the United States. Previously
Ransom served as senior director of the Advanced Technology Systems
Engineering Center for BellSouth.

BILL RUDNICK writes that he has been elected Chairman of the Board
of Directors of the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
