Oh Canada!  Hello/Bonjour to all of my fellow Canadians.  I was born and raised in the fair city of Winnipeg.  I recognized at an early age that I was meant to be in business so I enrolled in the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba.  After graduation I moved to Toronto to work in the Mergers & Acquisition group at UBS Investment Bank.  After two years, I left UBS for an entrepreneurial opportunity in Vancouver.  Unfortunately, the opportunity was not as good as I had hoped, so after the snow melted at Whistler I went back to work at UBS, but this time in the Commodities group in New York.  I had a great experience in New York, but I did not feel that I wanted to do investment banking for the rest of my life.  I decided to go back to school to get my MBA, with the goal of making a career decision.  The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business was not initially high on my list, but after visiting the campus and meeting with people from the school it was an easy decision.  I am thoroughly enjoying my experience here.  At the GSB anything is truly possible and you are limited only by your own desire.  This past summer I worked in sales and trading in the distressed debt and commodities groups at Credit Suisse.
