James was born in Bruges, Belgium, and finished his MSc in Economics in 1999 at the University of Gent. Before joining the GSB, James worked as a consultant for a start-up strategic consultancy firm focusing on Customer Relationship Management (CRM). James spent most of his career in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and worked on many international projects throughout Europe and the US. James lives with his wife and new-born baby girl (April ’07) in Hyde Park, Chicago. James is actively involved in many student groups at the GSB. He is currently a co-chair of the European Business Group, Belgian Business group and French MBA group. During the summer, James had 2 internships. James’ first internship was at BP in London and Wales, as part of the Helios Programme. His second internship was in Amsterdam, working for Booz Allen Hamilton.
