Whether it's the intimacy of a classroom or a school-wide fireside chat, the talks that take place in these forums are an integral part of the intellectual life at the GSB. Some of the most popular forums are:
- Distinguished Speaker Series - Have you ever wondered what it's like to be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, how corporate leaders manage organizations of thousands of people, or how people at the highest levels of leadership deal with ethical issues? The Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS) is a joint effort by the GSB student body and administration to bring high-profile business, government and community leaders to campus
- Becker Brown Bag Series - Hosted by the Becker Center on Chicago Price Theory, Founded by Richard O. Ryan, MBA '66, the Becker Brown Bag Series provides an informal setting where students hear about cutting edge research and engage prominent economists in discussion. The talks show the practical use of economics for answering real world questions pertinent to businesses and policy makers
- The Myron Scholes Global Markets Forum - Hosted by the Initiative on Global Markets, the Myron Scholes Global Markets Forum bring business leaders, policy makers and distinguished academics to talk about international business, financial markets and the role of policies and institutions.
- Classes - Besides lectures and discussions, many professors draw upon their networks to bring business people, policy makers and others to the classroom.
