Admissions Informational Events - Women & Minorities
To fulfill our commitment to recruiting a diverse student body, Chicago GSB hosts informational events and occasionally partners with outside organizations to provide opportunities for women and minorities to learn more about the program.
Under-represented Minority Group Events
Admissions representatives recently attended the annual meetings of the following diversity associations:
Houston - NSHMBA Annual Conference, October 9-11, 2008
Orlando - NBMBAA Annual Conference, September 17-20, 2008
Events for Women
Chicago GSB hosts or participates in many admissions-related events designed to identify and encourage talented women who are interested in attending business school.
Forte Foundation
Forte events are hosted by the Forte Foundation, which focuses on helping women pursue leadership careers in business and on increasing their access to business education and business networks. Chicago GSB is a founding member of the Forte Foundation. You can also check the Forte events schedule for other events.
Chicago Women in Business Alumnae Network (CWIBAN)
In addition to participating in Forte Foundation events, the GSB co-hosts events with our world-wide Chicago Women in Business Alumnae Network (CWIBAN) each year. These informal "Women's Week" receptions are designed to allow you to get to know the GSB from a woman's perspective. During the fall of 2007, "Women's Week" events were held in the following cities:
Chicago Women in Business Alumnae Connections
CWIBAN also offers you the chance to ask your questions one-on-one and get candid answers from someone who has been in your shoes as a prospective student. If you would like to connect with an alumna, please email your name and location to cwiban@hotmail.com.
Alumnae from around the world volunteer their time to connect with you. Feel free to contact the alumnae of CWIBAN.
