Neeraj Bharadwaj

Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing

Neeraj Bharadwaj studies marketing strategy and supply-chain relationships. His current research, which falls under the rubric of marketing strategy, investigates such topics as: the effect of marketing initiatives on firm value creation, key cash flow determinants in the credit card industry, and the interplay of goods and services in the sale of holistic value propositions. He has coauthored "Marketing Initiatives, Expected Cash Flows, and Shareholders' Wealth" in the Journal of Marketing, and has several additional projects underway that further examine the link between marketing initiatives and firm value. His earlier research focused primarily on business-to-business marketing and services marketing. He has co-authored "How Call Center Location Impacts Expectations of Service from Reputable vs. Lesser Known Firms" in the Journal of Retailing , "Investigating the Antecedents and Outcomes of Customer Firm Transaction Cost Savings in a Supply Chain Relationship" in the Journal of Business Research and authored "Investigating the Decision Criteria Used in Electronic Components Procurement" in Industrial Marketing Management. He also serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing.

Bharadwaj has been recognized for his research. He was selected a winner in the Institute for the Study of Business Markets Doctoral Dissertation Support Award Competition. In addition, he has received the "Best Paper Award" at several American Marketing Association Educators' Conferences.

He has served on the faculty at the University of Texas at Austin and Babson College. Prior to earning his PhD from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, he worked in marketing for three years at Miller Brewing Company, where he focused on product and price management.
