A Typical Day - SingaporeExecutive MBA class sessions meet Monday through Saturday on class weeks held roughly once a month. Students expertly balance class sessions with demanding jobs, family life, and personal interests. A student's typical experience on a class day might go something like this: 8:30 a.m. - Arrive at the Asia campus, the House of Tan Yeok Nee; mingle with classmates in the lounge over breakfast. 9 a.m. - Attend class. The lecture is enlivened with comments from students who add fresh perspectives from different countries and industries. 10:30 a.m. - Class breaks right on time, which allows a chance to check e-mail from work. Nothing urgent needs your attention, so you join your classmates in the lounge for tea. 11 a.m. - Morning class resumes Noon - At lunch break, you debate between attending an optional review session and enjoying lunch in the sunny courtyard. You opt for the courtyard, joining many classmates there. 1 p.m. - After lunch, your study group convenes. 3 p.m. - Attend the afternoon class session 4 p.m. - On break, call your office voice mail and your spouse 6 p.m. - This week you don't need to attend the optional review session after class, so you meet with your study group; after an hour or two of discussion, order pizza If it's Saturday, students celebrate the end of the session by going out for dinner and drinks, and then hit one of Singapore 's famous night spots. |
