| October 19-25, 2008 | India Entrepreneurial Immersion Trip The Polsky Center travels to India for an exclusive, unforgettable journey through one of the fastest growing economies in the world. For more information visit the event website. |
| October 23-25, 2008 | USC Pacific Rim Entrepreneur Summit Along with 17 other business schools from around the world, Chicago GSB has signed on as a partner for this high level summit in Shanghai. Led by USC, the summit will include three days of interactive seminars and key networking and social events. For more information and to register visit the event website. |
| October 28 and Nov. 15, 2008 | Edward L. Kaplan, '71, New Venture Challenge (NVC) Kickoff Chicago GSB's premier business plan competition kicks-off its 13th year with two information sessions about the NVC process from Polsky Center faculty and former NVC winners. Following the sessions, there will be an opportunity to network and connect with prospective teammates. Hyde Park kick-off is Tuesday, October 28 from 6 to 9 pm at the Harper Center, Room C25, and downtown Chicago session is Saturday, November 15 from 12 to 1 pm at the Gleacher Center, Room 100. |
| November 6, 2008 | Second Annual Midwest Alternative Energy Venture Forum (MAEVF) The MAEVF brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and others interested in green technology, to learn about some of the most exciting developments within the renewable technology sector. | November 14, 2008 | Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Conference (EVC) This day-long, student-run conference brings together successful entrepreneurs and seasoned venture capitalists with GSB students to share ideas and insights, foster creativity, and establish new networks. | January 23, 2009 | Glencoe Capital Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) GSB student teams play the role of venture capitalists to real-life entrepreneurs and compete for the opportunity to represent Chicago GSB at the regional and national investment competition. | February 20, 2009 | Beecken Petty O'Keefe Private Equity Conference (PEC) The Polsky Center and the EVP student group co-sponsor the annual PEC that brings together Chicago GSB students with alumni and industry leaders in the private equity community to explore key topics within the industry. | May 28, 2009 | Edward L. Kaplan, '71, New Venture Challenge (NVC) Finals: Chicago GSB's premier business plan competition culminates with a day-long finals competition where finalist teams present their businesses before a distinguished panel of judges and the GSB community. The judges will determine the winners and the distribution of more than $80,000 in prize money at the evening cocktail reception. For more information, visit the NVC website. |
