How can I get a copy of my diploma, transcript or GPA?
The University of Chicago Registrar Office handles all requests for
transcripts, copy of diplomas and GPA. Please visit the Registrar’s website for complete information and to order on-line. You can mail a check made
payable to the University of Chicago in the amount of $12.00 per copy, or
you can order online with a credit card for $12.00 per copy.

Can I use the Midway Club at the Gleacher Center?
Yes, the Midway Club is free to all alumni and guests. You can enjoy
lunch, hold a business meeting and use the small business center.

Does the GSB have reciprocal agreements with other clubs in Chicago?
Yes, the University of Chicago has an agreement with the University
Club in Chicago at 76 East Monroe, Chicago, IL 60603. To make reservations,
call 312.696.2236. To use the facilities, you must be a registered guest.

Can I use the library and gym on campus?
Yes, you may obtain a pass from the University of Chicago Alumni Association
by calling 773-702-2150. Each location has specific limitations
or charges.

When I graduate, what happens to my GSB account and e-mail address?
When you graduate, your e-mail address will stay the same, i.e. accountname@ChicagoGSB.edu.
Your Username and Password will also remain the same. Your mailbox size will change from 1G to 20 MB. As an alum, you will
still have to access to most online applications that require logins.

Do I need to do anything to initiate the transition of my student account
to my alumni account?
No, you do not need to do anything. The transition should be smooth
and seamless.

Will I still have access to campus computers and printers?
Since you are no longer a student, you will no longer have access to
the GSB network computers and printers in campus computer labs. Two exceptions to this are the Fisher Library and the Midway Club, both located at Gleacher Center.

Will I still be able to dial up using the University of Chicago servers?
No. Only students have access to University of Chicago servers.

How long after graduation will my personal P:/ drive space on the GSB network be active?
You should start preparing to transfer your files as soon as possible prior to graduation so that you do not lose them. Your P:/drive access will end upon graduation.

What will be different about the Facebook when I am an alum?
Not much will change. Your photo will no longer appear, and due to federal privacy
laws, you will not see photos or contact information of current students.

How do I change my contact information in the Facebook online alumni directory?
Using your Email4Life username and password, log onto the Online

You can become a mentor by joining the Alumni Careers Network. The Alumni Careers
Network is a password-protected online, searchable listing of more than 13,000
alumni who have volunteered to share their knowledge and expertise with other

How do I get to Hyde Park Center?
The Chicago GSB Hyde Park Center is located between 59th and 58th streets at
5807 South Woodlawn Avenue. The main entrance is on Woodlawn. Please check
in with the receptionist when you arrive. For campus maps and directions, visit

Where can I park at the Hyde Park Center?
Unfortunately, there is no general parking provided by the Hyde Park Center.
Parking options include street parking, the lot behind the President's house
on University Avenue, or the Hospital parking garages. For more information,

Do I have access to the London campus?
The London campus does offer limited resources to alumni. All alumni are considered guests of the campus and as a campus guest you will need to be received by a staff person to gain access to the building. Note that staff hours are 9-6. If possible, advanced notice would be appreciated as it will ensure someone will be here to receive you. Unfortunately, there is no provision for alumni to use space such as classrooms, meetings rooms or study rooms without prior approval and as part of an official GSB function. Will I be able to use my ID Card and continue to eat in DASH (cafeteria at London campus)?Unfortunately, no. Once you graduate your ID cards will be deactivated. Any money left on your DASH card after graduation will be lost, so you should use it up prior to graduation. You may eat in DASH if accompanied by someone on staff or a current student with a DASH card.

What are the parking options at Gleacher Center?
There is no general parking provided by the Gleacher Center. Parking options include lots at 201 East Illinois, Equitable Building Parking, Ogden Plaza Parking, and 337 East Illinois. For more information, view maps and directions.
